The proper installation of the software update point is key to delivering updates through Configuration Manager 2012 R2 in your environment. To provide insights into the proper configuration of this role, the component status is available in the Monitoring node of the console and also by reviewing the following logs:
Supsetup.log This log tracks the installation of the software update point.
WCM.log This log tracks connections to the WSUS server for subscribed update categories, languages, and classifications.
WSUSCtrl.log This log tracks connectivity to the database and the general health of WSUS
for the site.
WSYNCMGR.log This log records all synchronization operations for the site.
