This role is leveraged during the operating system deployment. In particular, it is used to store user data for migration back onto their machine that was just reimaged or replaced. The health of the state migration point is visible in the Monitoring node of the console and also by reviewing the following logs:
smssmpsetup.log : This log documents the appropriate prerequisites and logs the initialization of the smp.msi file and installation completion.
smpmsi.log : This log documents the installation setup progress of the smp.msi file.
