Troubleshooting the Endpoint Protection Point

The proper installation of the Endpoint Protection point is key to managing malware and firewall settings through Configuration Manager 2012 R2 in your environment. To provide insights into the proper configuration of this role, the component status is available in the Monitoring node of the console and also by reviewing the following logs:

EPsetup.log This log tracks the installation of the Endpoint Protection point.
EPCtrlmgr.log This log details the synchronization of malware threat information from the Endpoint Protection role server to the Configuration Manager 2012 R2 database.
EPMgr.log This log monitors the status of the Endpoint Protection site system role.
