A new feature in Configuration Manager 2012 is the ability to validate the content on a distribution point . When validating the content on a distribution point, the validation process will check to see if the content on the distribution point is the same as the content in the source of the application or package. Validating the content can be scheduled for the distribution point or done per package.
Per application on the distribution point, you are able to validate, redistribute, or remove the content. If the content is not valid, it will then be reported in the Content Status node in the Monitoring workspace of the Configuration Manager console.
